refined mosaicist ... A renowned craft mosaicist, Dagmar feels close to the dimension of the artisan workshop, traditional mosaic and work on commission. It is not enough for them to reproduce, to interpret, to experiment, to create, to assign other dimensions and dignity to known materials. Giving mosaic lightness is its goal. And then renounce the original context, the subject, the sketch. Instead, it extracts details, fragments, with a privileged look at Klimt's suggestions, then transfers them to a new context, assigning the cement a complementary function in order to emphasize the preciousness of mosaic materials, whether gold or colors. In this journey, started by the precious assemblage of mosaic fragments, Dagmar realizes the creative possibilities of the other material proper to the mosaicist, the neglected and supporting material, cement. Discover the infinity of textures, the possibilities inherent in the transformations of a material that evolves as the final stiffness takes the place of the initial ductility. And so the path widens, allowing the unfolding of an "other" creativity with respect to the mosaic, in the search for new artistic experiences, new techniques, with the sure intent of communicating new emotions.
