Unfortunately I have to give a negative rating to the 100% pignoletto yellow corn biscuits LOT 1120A with exp. 25/03/2021 purchased in a fruit & vegetable shop in Bra, on 10/11/2020. I speak as a panel test taster of confectionery products, so in my work environment I constantly taste similar products, with local raw materials and, as other I assume, are those contained within corn biscuits, of which I am greedy. Here you immediately feel, on the nose, a strong and unpleasant note of rancid, originating from the safe use of non-fresh cow butter, with the presence at the time of the, mixture of a high content of peroxides and non-standard acidity%, not cmq in the acceptance parameters. The result is a non-presentable product, which, albeit with other, locally sourced raw materials, must be withdrawn from the market, to preserve the brand.

It is a historic shop that offers products made as they once were. The historic Batiaje to which are added other products including excellent amaretti.
