The term body shaming is the union of the word body, that is body and shaming, literally shame. Body shaming is therefore the act of making someone feel ashamed of their body. It is an act of bullying or cyberbullying, which someone does against another person, making nasty and often nasty comments that can be addressed to body weight, height, color or skin care, color of the hair, tattoos and everything that falls within the sphere of physical appearance.
