Ancient chapel located on a hill from which you can see in the distance the towers of Albenga, the sea and the Gallinara island, dedicated to San Sebastiano and erected by the inhabitants of the peasant nucleus of Morteo (Murtedus). Inside there is a fresco from the end of the fifteenth century depicting the Madonna, with Jesus dead on her lap: it is a Pietà, flanked by Sant’Antonio Abate. In the background of the fresco we see a city with towers, most likely the ancient Albium Ingaunum. I indicate 4 stars because the chapel is closed and outside there is no sign with directions and info for the visit. Feast of the Chapel of Morteo first Sunday of June
