Chiesa di San Lorenzo Martire

The church of San Lorenzo Martire in Mione di Rumo, located in the center of the hamlet, is mentioned for the first time in the fifteenth century; at the beginning of the following century it suffered serious damage due to a landslide, which is why it was rebuilt and consecrated in 1527; the building acquires the forms of today following the interventions of the XVIII and of the XIX century. The single nave is divided into three bays with stone capitals supporting the stone ribs of the reticular vault that covers the room. The left wall of the third bay is opened by a round arch that leads to the side chapel; this has a shallow barrel vault bounded by arches and a mullioned window with a stone pilaster on the southern elevation. The round arch leads to the presbytery's elevated step-like environment, which has a stone-framed access to the sacristy at the left side wall. Above the oculus in the façade there is a fresco depicting a sundial;
