Beautiful.

The church of Santa Teresa is located in the historic center of Parma. The current construction dates back to the early 1600s. The facade is a perfect example of neo-Renaissance style, rusticated. The interior has a single nave, with a Latin cross plan, in baroque and neoclassical style. The characteristics that make this church unique are: - the facade (unique in Parma like this); - the simple dome; - the "chapel" dedicated to the fallen; - the beautiful Baroque style sculpture with angels overlooking the "chapel"; - another small chapel. To visit absolutely. Free admission.

If you have an hour of free time in Parma, and you want to engage it well, you can visit it and admire its fascinating interior. Small research: The church has a single nave, with three side chapels on each side. The third chapel on the left, larger than the others, reproduces the holy House of Loreto. The neo-renaissance façade with marble bosses was carried out on a design by Ernesto Piazza between 1862 and 1864. The bas-relief in the lunette on the entrance door, depicting the Trinity, is by Antonio Ilarioli. The stucco decoration of the interior was made by Domenico Reti in the 17th century. The oval painting of the high altar represents the Trinity and is the work of the painter Giovan Battista Borghesi: the canvas is inserted in a stucco altarpiece with twisted marble columns. The church also preserves paintings by Alessandro Tiarini, Giulio Cesare Amidano and Vincenzo Campi.

This church is very interesting for its facade, reminiscent of Florentine cathedrals. The decoration inside is rather modest.
