City hospital. Some departments of excellence .. other to let loose

My father, on vacation in nearby Sestri, was taken to the emergency room and spent 4 nights in the facility. People who work for the sick have been very caring and attentive - from doctors, nurses, to those who keep the rooms tidy and those who serve coffee at the parking lot, they all know how to have a smile and a kind word. The building is of reasonable size, not an aseptic and distressing universe, but a human-sized hospital. Among the parameters that I read today in the newspaper in the rankings among the European areas and their development, health was the most positive: I touched it with my hand, in a serene and functional place.

Today I had the opportunity to experience the emergency room of the Lavagna hospital. This morning my Mum slipped and fell in the house so even though luckily everything seemed to be fine as a precaution we took her to the emergency room of the Lavagna hospital. The doctor who welcomed us and visited my mother was very kind and professional. Within 4 hours, she had blood tests, a CT scan of the skull and x-rays to the body, all ok for my mother and 5 stars for the competence of all the staff. The shop was crowded but tidy and the staff were professional and always polite despite their overwork. Thanks
