Wonderful romanic church (facade XII sec. - baroque interior). The main portal in Lombard style. At the top of the portal, in bas-relief, there is the image of San Quirico. Suggestive and contemplative experience when not crowded by tourists.

The most important church in the town .

The current building was built in the 12th century to replace an ancient parish church. The church has a Latin cross plan with the presence of a single nave and apsidal chapels. The main portal in Lombard style is supported by two sandstone columns on each side resting on column-bearing lions. At the top of the portal, in bas-relief, there is the image of San Quirico. Inside there is a beautiful fifteenth-century altarpiece with the Madonna and Child, angels and saints on a golden background, by Sano di Pietro. In the lunette, however, the Resurrection and the Descent of Christ into Limbo are represented.

A beautiful Romanesque church dating back to the eighth century. The temple that can be seen was built in the 12th and 13th centuries and has many Romanesque, but also early Gothic features. Three beautiful Romanesque portals, of which the largest and richest in the front west facade. Some of the columns framing the portal are supported by figures of lions (probably made of sandstone, which is why they were partially "blurred"). Modest but beautiful interiors.

A masterpiece of art mixed with history. I imagine the effect it can have on the foreigner who, when passing the entrance door on the walls of the town, finds himself facing up high. One should never get used to beauty. The magnificent portals made of different stones stand out on the facade and on the side. Too bad that the "serene" tends with time to ruin more. Worth a stop.
