Not quite what I expected. A lot more modern than Tuscan but you can't fault the views . The swimming pool area looks out over Tuscan fields and is tranquil and you could quite effortlessly spend a day at the pool reading a book. This is a family resort and caters specifically for families with children. The room we had was split level which was different and cosy. There were also many bikers and they were familiar with the hotel and recommended what food we should eat. The restaurant was good and the service was friendly.

The structure is certainly located in a strategic position to visit the Val d'Orcia and has a very nice outdoor swimming pool from where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the valley but from a structure where I pay 200 euros per night at the end of September I expected services best. As soon as we arrived we made use of the spa which has an indoor pool which is not very large and where the water was rather cold and the whirlpool worked intermittently. Breakfast does not live up to what we paid and there is really too much waiting to be served and we were in the low season (maybe putting an extra person would not be a bad idea!) Also be careful to close the French door because being in the countryside all kinds of animals can enter (including mice as happened to some of our friends who were in the room next to ours!) Maybe putting a few more traps and mosquito nets on the windows would not hurt ... it will also be a country structure like you have said where this is "normal" but your guests are still on vacation and not everyone seems normal including me! I don't think I'll go back to you!
