Quiet place surrounded by nature

we were driven away for stopping for 5 minutes to give the dogs a drink (without barking of course) near the hermitage but outside the property with the following sentence: this is a place of God and not dogs .... .... but St. Francis is not the holy brother of animals? we have sincerely asked ourselves if God makes distinction between men and animals or if for HIM we are all creatures ......
