Church of Santa Chiara

The oratory was completely rebuilt and enlarged in the first half of the 1600s. Inside is a 1712 wooden crucifix. The large altarpiece depicting San Rocco with San Pantaleone and Santa Firmina from 1759 shows the ancient village of Bogliasco with the chapel of San Rocco now disappeared in the lower part of the picture. Another valuable painting is the one depicting Santa Chiara with the Saints Francesco, Giovanni Battista, Simone and Sebastiano del They are preserved here four large crucifixes that are brought in processions on the occasion of the patronal feasts. In January 2016, an extremely strong wind caused the vault to collapse. The church was put in safety until the demanding restoration work was completed.
