This is a decent area for an ATM location in Times Square Shopping Mall. There are cameras and people around, local people are not allowed to loiter. It can be a hit or miss for cash during high season as it runs out of money often. FYI it will dispense US if it has no Jamaican money and vise versa so if you really just need some money you may get lucky. When withdrawing money in Ja cash think about what the amount looks like and how much you actually need. Jamaican money is dispensed in bills of $500.00 and $1000.00. $1000.00 = **approximately $10.00 US. Depending On exchange rate. So, if you want $100.00 US in Jamaican funds.. you will withdraw $11,000.00 JA. Bank charges $546.00 Jamaican to withdraw funds.(07/2017) The next ATM is located in the center of town across the street from Burger King. Both places dispense US and Jamaican money.

ATM that issues funds in either USD or JMD. Much better/safer environment than the ScotiaBank near the roundabout in Negril. No hustlers lurking about.

As a tourist, you basically do not need much cash here. But for a tip or the fruit woman is worth the walk to the ATM. You just have to note that charges apply.
