The Cliff Hotel

Spa review - The technician was nice, patient and very accommodating. She did a great job on my hair. I will do my hair there again but probably not my nails. It took a.long time to get the gel removed. The nail salon needs more versatile gel remover to accommodate various brands of gel, not just their own in-house brand. (Even though I was wearing a local gel brand, tourists will eventuslly return from everywhere with different brands of gel on their nails.) The spa needs to use a higher grade of cotton too. I wasn't sure if the instruments were sanitized (didn't see an autoclave or sanitizer liquid. Hopefully it was in the back room). The translucent polish wasn't applied evenly but the technician added extra coats to a couple of fingernails at my request to even it out. My toenails were not cut, only filed, and were not shaped round like I requested. The sharp angle of my toenails went in the opposite, direction of the natural shape of my toes. I cut the corners off my toenails later when I got home to soften the look. The fingernail shape was much, much better. I'm pretty picky about my manicures so I'll probably just stick to using the hair salon. The spa was comfortable, clean and well lit with a beautiful view. Great gift shop too.

Need to visit beautiful property

We had the best time ever in this hotel with outstanding service from ALL the staff and amazing room and clean facility. It's not on the beach but there is a beautiful cliff right by the pool and you can sit and relax there, and if you want a beach (which is highly recommended in Negril) you have 15 minutes away from the 7 miles beach. Highly recommended

My wife and stayed at the Cliff Hotel for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. From the clean, well-appointed rooms, to the staff and phenomenal grounds, the Cliff Hotel is 5-stars all the way. From the moment we stepped out of the cab into the open-air lobby, we were in awe. With only 32 or so rooms, you feel like it is your private Jamaican retreat. The cliff area is nice as most oceanside resorts you have to deal with sand and sometimes beach vendors you don't necessarily want to deal with. The advantage to the cliff is there is no sand, only natural coral where the hotel has installed pads with lounges and umbrellas to lay on. When you're ready for a dip in the ocean, just walk to either the tide pool or jump from the cliff into the ocean. They've placed several ladders to make climbing out easy and safe. With a pump that constantly adds fresh ocean water, the tide pool is nice for those who don't want to jump in the ocean. If a pool is more your thing, they have a fantastic one. Again, with so few rooms, you feel like the pool is your own private place to swim and lounge around. There are two bars; one that is a swim-up pool bar and the other is down on the cliff. Both are great and the bartenders do a great job of mixing drinks and helping with friendly conversation and local recommendations. This resort is ideal for couples looking for a quiet and romantic place to get away to. I wouldn't recommend bringing kids as they will probably be bored. My wife and I are already planning our return trip to the resort next year.
