Hotel Riu Palace Tropical Bay

We traveled to Riu Palace Tropical Bay at the end of 2020, the week prior to Christmas. The resort did a fantastic job with social distancing and cleaning. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The buffets were open, the only difference is they served you instead of you being able to help yourself but it was all good! There were certain restaurants open each night but I would personally just stick with the buffet.. better food! I would also recommend the Jerk hut on the beach.. So Yummy!!! We met so many wonderful employees there that made our stay so much more enjoyable! Spotlight, Bubble and Gray were some of our favorites!

Spa... excellent.service from Bernadette, Juleine and Melissa. Rooms were clean...spotless in fact. Safety protocols due to covid...I was impressed. More obvious directions on where you can eat or how to access the areas would be nice.... Food...yes there was a variety, but overall it was blah at best. Entertainment... Gregory's Performance on reggae night 8/14 was excellent. Overall the spa service and general friendliness of staff were the highlight of my stay.

Good for relaxation... not for fun and good food
