Royal Decameron Montego Beach

Amazing staff. Beautiful views. Great food. Lots of activities. Rooms & property are kept very clean. The buffet dinner was better than a night at the a la carte restaurant.

We stayed there couple times, hotel is very nice kept, the food and beverages are absolutely amazing, and the staff is beyond fantastic! The two pools, the ocean , the beach!! They had a lot of programs for different ages, but at the same time, if you don’t want to see them- it’s not noisy in the rooms. Want to get back so bad!

The entire staff was extremely and utterly helpful and friendly. The front desk is extremely professional and courteous. The kitchen and bar staff we're both friendly and professional at all times. The entertainment was amazing and the activities on the resort are very fun lead by a very engaging staff! The entire staff was absolutely amazing! They made me feel at home!

Royal Decameron has been nothing but headache for my husband and I. We have booked our stay at the hotel from March 2020 for June 26-28, my birthday weekend however here comes Covid-19. They called us some days prior and informed us that they were closed as asked if we wanted to rebook which we did. We rebooked forJuly 01-03, on our way down on July 01 sometime after 1:00pm we got a call that they are still closed and their doors will reopen September 2020. We were late, check in was 3:00pm and they knew that we were coming from Kingston, Jamaica but they chose to call after 1:00pm. We asked for a refund and they convinced us to change the date, so we decided to change the date to our anniversary, December 20-22, 2020. Now one week prior to our anniversary they call and said that they are closed and won't open until February 2021. I was so frustrated, I told my husband to ask for his refund. The manager said he understood our frustration and the refund can take up to six weeks therefore we had to take out of pocket to book another hotel for our anniversary. We have been trying to call back Royal Decameron from Saturday December 26 to this day Tuesday December 29 and no one is answering. The manager we were in contact with, his phone goes straight to voicemail and since the news in the Observer we have been on edge but yet there is no one for us to talk to. Royal Decameron should be sued for misleading information because even when they were closed their website was still allowing people to book reservations and they have put me through a lot in less six months or more. They are taking people money and providing no explanation or answers. This is the worst hotel in Jamaica and they will have to give me a full refund. They have approximately JMD$50,000 for us and I promise that I will not stop until I get my full refund. They have wasted my time over and over again. I will never put foot in that hotel and anyone considering Royal Decameron for a vacation, this is me telling you all to visit another hotel and don't waste your time.

Arguably my favorite place to vacation for the following reasons. The food is made with love, the entire resort is on the water so minimal walking, great service, drinkable water The beach isn't the best, and there is no (free) wifi but there is great charm from this older resort. I personally love coming hear year after year - I look forward to visiting in 2021 if all goes well.
