Royalton Hideaway, Negril, Jamaica

DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!! Adults side closed 1 restaurant open a day, no non motorized sports, pools extremely dirty, ATM machine out of order guests have to leave hotel to use ATM. We booked a 17 day stay 8/22-9/8 through hotels.com at Hideaway Royalton. Upon arrival we were sent to main lobby to check in this after a flight and long ride...after that another location to check in building 3 why i dont know ,than again to building 5. This is where they told us that Hideaway Royalton was closed. We specifically booked at Hideaway because like all adults who need a break from kids, we needed it. The only location they had opened was Royalton with kids a cheaper hotel. We did not come all the way here to be told our vacation would have kids running around.Ready to cancel the trip get our refund and go elsewhere before checking in the manager Lorna promised us to give us the difference between the hotels Royalton being a lot more cheaper than Hideaway..if you dont believe me check any website and there is a big difference in pricing especially if you use the Royalton Resort site. We stupidly agreed because we thought ok the difference a day is between 50-70 usd and we are staying 17 days so that is a good return. And she guaranteed an easy refund and pleasant stay. LIES!!!!! Biggest mistake.... No adults only restaurants were open Dorado or Ocean point. non motorized water sports was closed but they allow non property guys on their beach selling excursions and hustling for you to dish out more money. Overall we are out about 1000 USD . BEWARE DO NOT TRUST ANY REFUNDS THEY SAY THEY WILL GIVE. THE MANAGER WAS CAUGHT IN SEVERAL LIES SPEAKING TO THE HOTELS.COM REP. Im glad this was all on a recorded line as i will be filing a complaint and posting reviews on every website so this does not happen to anymore people. FYI the Hideaway and Grand Lido Negril are still available to be booked even though they are closed this is the hotels way of pocketing off the difference between hotels as they will not give you the refund back.

Fantastic addition to a great hotel. This is a seperate reception in the resort for customers who upgrade to the hideaway section of the resort. There is also a Diamond club, Hideaway reception for people who took both options.
