University of Technology, Jamaica

Customer service is way below, the accepted standard. Before you attend visit a day and you will see students are there for the simplest things leaving from far, such as you pay your tuition using online payment and accounts department tell you it's not reflecting (note I have my reference # for the payment.) If you miss a payment however no questions the late fee applies automatically however when you pay and you should get financial clearance you have to go there in person. Because the phone, email or student portal fail to work and no alternative is provided. Hands down one of the most poor service I have ever experience.(No exaggeration). If i could leave no stars I would.

It's a lot better now that there less people on campus. Still a bit much to get things done but significantly easier if you come on campus than before

Very disappointed of how the university handle processing of refunds, since 2015 I request for reimbursement of overpayment made on my account. To date, I still have not receive back my reimbursement. Very very poor service and communication. Unfair and horrible at paying back money!

This is the worse institution to be honest, it's called the university of technology but technology is its biggest challenge. There's no communication between staff things just happen and you find out along the way. The teachers that protest everyday about the low salary that they get really shouldn't be teachers don't assist nor communicate with students nor staff email. You know what the worse part is teachers take weeks or even months to reply to a students email and it's rare that you can to the faculty to ask for that person abd speak to them because it seems as if tho the lecturers at the university are rarely there.. I would not recommend this institution.
