Port Royal Cemetry

For some reason my visit to this cemetry got stuck in my mind, perhaps because most of the graves belong to people who were my age when they died, away from their homes. Reading other people's reviews though make me think that maybe one day in the future strange visitors will walk near my grave and say "it's a cool place to visit". Life is weird.

If you're interested enough, it's worth a stop en route to or from Port Royal to see the old tombstones and read interesting epitaphs dating from the 1800s and prior. There's a tombstone shaped like an anchor here which is cool to look at but be careful of the thorns. The cemetery pathways were full of grass and thistles when I visited.

The location on map is incorrect, the Old Naval Cemetery is just east of the current location where the area seems to be cleared.
