Not the worst, not the best. If you're looking for a cheap place to spend your time then go on ahead. The customer service could be a bit better- I had to wait on my room for awhile before it was readily available and wait a long time for the food to be served. It's not inclusive so you'll have to pay for everything at a high price. Most rooms were mediocre and some could be worked on. Like, for instance, one room had no hot running water. Those were the only problems I had. On the good side, you can pay a reasonable price to use their pool without booking a night at the hotel. It's not as expensive as other hotels; It ranges from a price of $12- $16000 depending on the type of room you want. Overall, it was a so-so experience.
It's always a pleasure spending time at Mayfair. A home away from home I'd say and the food at the restaurant is amazing.
Mayfair has always been that getaway chill spot; in my view.
Quiet, cool, and relaxing.
Downsides are patron who go there and then start smoking their cigarettes in your proximity.
Really wish they would do something about that.
All in all, it has a vibe for close friends, or even that first date.
I've been to the Pub a few times before. The experience was good. I find it is more about the company and drinks than the food and service. My most recent visit was terrible. I waited 1 1/2 hours for food that never came and was probably given away to appease other waiting customers. I ended up canceling the order and leaving.
The Mayfair Hotel a small hotel tucked away on the outskirts of New Kingston, popular with business people who are looking for a quiet place to stay for a few days. Also known for a weekend retreat for locals it has a small pool and an established bar known as the pub. The pub was based on an old English pub some years ago but with modern renovations has lost that feel. It is very popular with x pats and a younger crowd who like the out door ambience. I suffice to say because of the Coronavirus it has become a very popular hang out as it is hidden away.
