I expected the wait time to be long, for the crowd that was there. It was graduation weekend! I visited the one in uptown Kingston. We waited two hours to get our food. The wait wasn’t worth it! The oxtail was mashed out, salty, and overall did not taste good. The rice and peas was tough. Waitress did her job and did it well. The service was excellent, but I would’ve rather bought food on the street side. Way better flavor. This restaurant is overrated! This was my second time going and it wasn’t great!

Four words: Jerk Chicken Spring Rolls. If you haven't had them, you need to go and have them. My top contender for the best appetizer on any Jamaican restaurant menu. So incredibly satisfying and flavourful with pieces of chicken, plantain and vegetables. Amazing. Honourable mention also goes to the Red Stripe Wings. For a heavier meal, I highly recommend the Mac & Cheese Crockpot with Oxtail. The Oxtail is hidden at the bottom of a mountain of macaroni and cheese, and is such a pleasant surprise. Incredibly heavy though and does leave you stuffed!

The Food was good. I triedtheir island nachos and it was very flavorful. It’s a new twist , where they substituted the corn chips for green plantains chips. One disappointment was that they did not peel the plantains before cooking . All the little “chip” slices still had the plantain skin on and this made for a very rubbery texture while chewing. They were not operating at capacity and I got my cocktail halfway through my meal (this was ordered the same time as my actual meal). This is not ideal , I would’ve preferred to get my drink before the meal and get to enjoy the cocktail flavors independently, without the mix of food flavors. There I cannot comment on the taste of the cocktail, as I really don’t know what it tastes like . This practice limits the amount of cocktails ordered , as by the time u get the first one , I was halfway done with dining and had no need to order another. The facilities were clean and accessible and they were very accommodating to our group and still let us dine even though we were late for our reservation. I would visit again , however this time I will just sit at the bar and order cocktails and then move to a table when I’m ready to order .

This was my second visit; the first was on my birthday, and the experience was terrific. This visit, however, was lacking in a few areas, namely customer experience. As a trained professional with experience in the service industry; there were a few things I anticipated. The waitress did not introduce herself or check on the table. We weren't aware of the time that the kitchen closed therefore, we didn't get to order an entree.

It was a wonderful experience. The waiters were very pleasant and patient. The food was great.
