Butterfly Hill Villa Treasure Beach Jamaica

I can NOT say enough about how wonderful it was to celebrate my birthday and bring in the New Year at Butterfly Hill Villa. The villa is a dream come true. The staff makes you feel like you are family and Dorphea is an excellent cook. They made sure we always had everything we needed. Our host was A1 with responding to my numerous questions, arranging our transportation and providing suggestions. We felt safe, secure and not concerned about Covid. We were in our own beautifully tucked away world. Nothing like spending your day floating on their new infinity pool getting kissed by the sun. You simply can't go wrong with Butterfly Hill Villa!

Jack Carr, Thunder Bay, Ontario Canada -- January 2020 Decided to try something different... we were a group of 10 and stayed at Nuestra Casa Villa for 10 days. The 5 bedroom villa was very nice, clean and beautiful. We had 2 lovely cooks/housekeepers who prepared breakfast and dinner daily...lobster, jerk chicken to name a few. All fruit and produce was so fresh and all grown locally. It was fabulous!!! The Caretaker, Shepherd was amazing and always happy to answer questions for the group. Two minute walk to a very secluded beautiful beach. Met many of the "always smiling" local residents and even joined an impromptu jam session with the "Singing Chef". We really enjoyed the area and felt totally safe at all times. PS: A large private pool being put in this April will make Nuestra Casa Villa even more enjoyable. So if you are tired of the crowded all inclusive resorts then Nuestra Casa is the perfect place for you...check it out, you won't be disappointed!

Sadly, Nuestra Casa is no more. Both owners have died and the property has been sold to new owners. The guest house has essentially been abandoned and is in terrible, dirty condition. The poor, sweet staff who are hanging on did their best when we arrived to their surprise. Our room had cockroaches, mosquitoes, gnats and other insects.The bed and floor were covered in dirt. The kitchen was filthy and full of ants. We left early after paying cash to the house manager which we expect will stay with her. We had high expectations and left with much disappointment.
