Public House Jamaican Cuisine

Food was good. Service was excellent - our waitress went out of her way to ensure that we were properly taken care of.

So we were in negril for Reggae Marathon. Strictly overnight affair and so we opted for Minimalist accommodation which meant finding own food. Public House was recommended and was 5 minutes walk from Negril Palms so headed there for dinner. Service was good. I ordered the no frills fried chicken and it was tender and juicy so I could give it to my 1 yro without pre-chewing. The spicy stewed pork had some good heat but no fire alarm bells. Food is done to order so expect a wait, unless you call ahead with your order. The menu is traditional Jamaican cuisine so don't expect Calamari. Their sorrel was rich and proper! Winter tourist season had not yet started so we avoided the tourist crowd. We would have done breakfast there as well post race, but places I didn't know existed were aching! That 5 minute walk felt like eternity. Definitely recommend Public House Restaurant!
