Customer Service is at its best at Optical Smart. Care begins once you open the door; the genuine smiles & hellos. There is unison among the staff and is good for the clients. IF YOU VALUE EYESIGHT AND PROFESSIONALISM, DO NOT COME HERE. I came in on Friday, August 10th for an eye appointment (after waiting weeks for an opening) and was seen. I was told to come back the following Monday because the optometrist did not "trust" that his colleague, the ophthalmologist, who saw me on the Friday gave me the correct prescription. I came back, although annoyed, and was seen again. This second appointment took an hour- I didn't mind because the optometrist was thorough and seemed as if he cared that I left with the proper prescription. Afterward, I was told that in order to confirm this prescription and have it relinquished to me, I would have to try some test contacts. They told me that they did not have any test contacts in stock and assured me that they would have some in 2-3 business days. Therefore, no test contacts, no relinquished prescription. It is now September 10th, an entire month later and after having gone there twice, I have no prescription set in stone, no contacts, no nothing. I am an avid contacts user and I was on my last set of contacts at the time. Trying to push one set of contacts beyond their limit would expose me to a host of issues. And anyone who wears contacts knows that not having your contacts is an extremely debilitating position to be in. I am unable to see my surroundings when I wake up, when I am in the shower, etc. Optical Smart has shown no remorse for their dropping of the ball and I am extremely disappointed in their service, or lack thereof for that matter. I was given an attitude upon calling and it is obvious that they are not prepared to help me in any way. They said they have not had contacts in stock for 4 months!! Why would they tell me in September that their orders take 2-3 days? What liars. AND, WHAT A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. These are not people who care about the quality of life of their customers/patients. If you wear contacts and don't have 4+ months to wait, go elsewhere!!
