LeTap Inn JFK Airport

This place is a bit hood, but the rooms are clean

If you want lodging in NYC that is located in Jamaica, Queens, LeTap is in proximity to all that is central Jamaica, Queens. The public transportation hub is in walking distance. You will have to find dine in restaurants in other locales but there is convenient fast food nearby. A nice supermarket called, Ideal Food Basket is also within walking distance if you prefer groceries. The rooms at LeTap all have a mini-fridge, so getting your drinks there is "ideal". The room I occupied was pretty modern and I especially liked the bathroom. I was able to take a nice, hot bath. I do wish the lighting inda room was better but at night, the soft lighting did present a mood. My pillows were 😩 but I made do. You are advised that while the website mentions breakfast being included, it will not, breakfast is no longer served. As well, which is one of a few downsides to staying at LeTap is the fact that smoking is allowed and it's everywhere!!! Halls, rooms, lobby, stairs, it's a big mess with that. In fact, Marijuana smoking is pretty prevalent. The biggest overall downer for me is that LeTap caters to the local community for the majority of its business. Thus, you will encounter a host of persons that are, IMO, quite undesirable. This is not a hotel property, it is more of a transient hospitality property. However, I did not experience too much disturbance in terms of noise. A big help for them would be to hired suitable security.

Too noisy people going in and out their rooms all night slamming doors

We paid for extra 4 hours and decided to stay for 3 and they would give us our remaining balance back also under the beds were very dirty stains on sheets

The room looked clean but was still dirty. The hotel is not as pictured and this was an upgrade to the sister hotel we first went to that was a nightmare! The management didn't charge us a deposit fee and quickly transferred our stay to this hotel.
