Frome Sugar Factory

The Frome sugar factory is now owned and operated by the Chinese owned Pan Caribbean Sugar Co. Ltd. This has caused some issues as culture clashes has led to a decline in production, which is now at its lowest since the 1900s. As Jamaica’s highest capacity sugar factory, the sugar farmers and workers need to work with the Chinese instead of against them, to ensure the survival of the sugar industry in Jamaica.
