Currently, it is a facility that exhibits the culture of tug of war. If you talk to the locals, you will be able to enjoy the culture that dates back to the Yayoi period. Useful in that sense. However, usually only the exhibits and the guide women come only around 3:00 pm. For this reason, without hearing a deep story, travelers have a tug-of-war facility. I wonder what it is. It's a waste.
The camp is a "tug of war" held every year on the night of May 4th at Misasa Onsen. Kazura Fuji is brought together to make two male and female tug of war, and the two ropes are combined to form a brave east and west. traditional event. Here you can see the history and meaning of the camp and the outline.
The alley in front of this building? so
Materials related to the "Tug of War", which is held on May 4th every year, are on display.
The festival started in the early Meiji era
The length of the rope is 90m in each of the east and west, and the total length is 180m, and the weight is 4 tons. Because it is heavy and cannot be lifted, the rope must be in a shape that pulls against the ground.
The outline is made of kazura
Every year from mid-April, soak in the river in front of you for about two weeks, soften it, and then make it over the day before the festival.
The ropes represent men and women in the east and west, and the tip of each rope in a loop just before the start of tug of war is stabbed with a tree branch to make it look like a single rope.
In the east and west, there are meanings of business prosperity and good harvest, respectively, and whichever wins is profitable.
I understand.
In addition, the ropes actually used at the festival are also on display.
The woman explained various things and I really enjoyed it.
Hmmm, it's a wasteful place to pass by ♩
There is a fixed traditional tug-of-war activity every year here. Here is the material and the tug-of-war tools used to display this traditional activity. This tug-of-war is different from our common tug-of-war. Without actually seeing things and videos at the scene, it is difficult to understand what kind of structure this is!
When there is no staff at the display, just open the door, walk in, and visit slowly ...
A corner building with excellent location in Sanchao Hot Springs, a free visit to the Folk Culture Exhibition Hall, and a unique river-crossing competition for local people every May.
