First found the owner down at the morning markets with some small samples of his mochi. Fell so in love with his mochi that we had to hunt down his store to buy more. He is so friendly, excellent customer service, gave us some free samples and green tea in his shop. Highly recommend going here!! Will be adding Takayama back onto my list when I next visit Japan, just for the mochi!!

Vegan review: none of their mochi is vegan. It's made with eggs and butter. They have an item that's not mochi, which is vegan - but very much seems second fiddle. If vegan, then skip!

Cute little shop. We go the matcha set. Best mochi we've ever had. Super soft and melts in your mouth. The owner gave us some samples of the other sweets on the side to try.

Very friendly owner and very accommodating of English speaking visitors. We received a free sample of a new mochi sweet when we arrived. I loved the texture and taste of the mochi. We purchased a couple items for dining in and a couple items for later. We were also provided with green tea while we enjoyed the sweets.

Best Mochi I have ever tasted ! No matter it is japan or Taiwan, it melts in your mouth. Addictive ... the owner is extremely friendly and nice. Highly recommended
