Very pretty public park, but very hard to see Wakayama castle clearly.

It's a great place to wander and relax. The garden and Tea House are great, and the views from the top of the castle are fantastic. They're are some nice English speaking tour guides if you want to know more about the history. There is also a strange zoo - a bit old and run down, but it's free and good for kids.

This place is amazing! I am going around the castle to take some stunning view photo of the Wakayama City. The staffs at castle are nice and friendly. They can tell you direction to inside the castle, whether you speak only English or just basic Japanese. But, be careful when you are going here on summer (July or August). You must use sunblock and lip balm, because the weather will be so hot!
