You have to be a member to use the Foreign Correspondents' Club facilities, but there are some open events both educational (e.g press conferences) and cultural (concerts and special dinner events). If you live in Japan worth joining. Associate members need not be journalists, but must meet certain qualifications. Check their website. If visiting you might be interested in their public events.
