Outstanding art gallery. The entrance only itself attracts the visitors, with the gate and the beautiful nature. I am sure this is part of the concept and the gallery but it was just fascinating! It costs 1300 yen to enter into the gallery itself but just simply visiting around the gallery is superb. Worth taking a leap to their gallery

Highly recommend this place if you're at all interested in traditional kimono art. Absolutely gorgeous kimonos on display and beautiful grounds to walk around.

I wasn't expecting a lot, but I was absolutely blown away by this museum gallery. I think I spent at least a couple hours; time just slipped away. The stunning works of Kubota are enchanting and if you are interested in art, his skill is incomparable and photos just don't do justice for the intricate designs exhibited. As well as beautiful, his artworks are thought provoking and the experience is much enhanced by the 20minute documentary available in both English and Japanese. The staff were lovely and the gorgeous gardens were a cherry on top. SO glad I decided to visit.

A small but beautiful museum about Itchiku Kubota, a modern kimono craftsman who passed away in 2003. The kimonos are gorgeous and even more beautiful when you learn about the laborious process behind them. The museum itself is a beautiful small building with lovely grounds to walk around. It is a bit far away from Kawaguchiko Station and most likely will not entertain children unless they are interested in art and design. A must-visit for art and design lovers.

This is one of my favorite musuems in Japan, it is very very unique. Although I heard from our tour guide about the artist and saw introductory video, I didn't expect what I will see till I got there. You can't admire his art, talent hatd works ( specially knowing the process and the details. Each piece is beyond precious. You can spend quite amount of time to see, enjoy and soothe your souls with seeing the texture, colors and details on each art piece. I think they need to have more advertisement and have the pictures to sell. These magnificent art pieces need to be more known to everyone !
