Meat remains medium cooked & fresh even with fried batter. Amazing. High quality meat. Comes with 6 sauces/seasoning to try around.
Wife said this is better than the popular Gyukatsu Motomura. For some reason half the customers here were foreigners.
Tiny, nice, friendly place located in the beautiful Pontocho neighborhood. We went here for dinner two times, we really liked it! No waiting to be seated, friendly staff explaining how you should combine meat, dressings and sauces... And the quality of food is amazing! We were so pleased that we ordered an extra steak :) Best meals we had in Kyoto, hope to come back!
The food is amazing, and very affordable. We walked in and got a table within 2 minutes. The staff treated us very well. The food came out quickly, and one of the most fun things to do was try all the suggested sauce combinations with your steak. It was so good I ordered an extra steak.
Amazing whiskey upstairs - huge selection of Japanese whiskey. I had the hibiki which was amazing and I can’t wait to try the hibiki 17 or 21 as they sell them by the glass for reasonable prices. The place looks amazing, very Low key and you can smoke. Also delicious craft beer and cool Bartenders.
Great Gyukutsu restaurant. Price is reasonable and service was great. Recommended.
