Izu-Kōgen Station

This station does not accommodate credit cards, nor does it have an ATM. Unbelievable! If you are out of cash, you must walk with all your luggage down stairs, then uphill to 7-11 to withdraw cash. Quite inconvenient!

The town is beautiful and quaint. If you're looking for a place to go swimming, then you will only find a medium size pool by the rocks. It's known by the locals as the "fishing area/pool". You can jump off the rocks into the open sea or into the pool. The pool is fairly deep and you can see fish. It's a 10-min walk/hike from the train station.

Very nice place out of Tokyo, it is deserved two days to have fun with.

有名な地ビール社に近い素敵な駅！ Quaint railway station near a celebrated craft beer brewery! The station has been modernized because of the great number of tourists stopping there. It is also one of the rare stations on this line equipped for limited mobility travelers. For railway buffs: Izu-Kōgen Station opened on December 10, 1961. Izu-Kōgen Station consists of a side platform and an island platform serving three tracks.
