What is not to love? This is where we park when we want to go shopping, or to a festival in the centre of Yamaguchi City, or when we drop our children off at the primary school. It is never full, nor expensive, and centrally situated. If you go early in the morning at about 8 am you can see the fit fire-fighters in the adjacent fire-station to the West doing callisthenic morning exercises. You pick up a yellow card on your way in and, positing it into the machine at the gate, pay a few hundred yen (usually 2 or 300) on the way out. That said, both the local Kame (turtle) Mountain Top Park and Xavier Memorial Church have car parks which are free to visitors.

Yamaguchi Xavier Memorial Church lights up in winter. When you park your car on the 2nd floor of the parking lot, you can take a picture of the car and the tower of the Xavier Memorial Church which is illuminated. If you like cars, why not give it a try?
