The admission is free, but going into the zoo is super depressing. Seeing the way the animals are kept just made me sad.

Can’t imagine they haven’t shut down this place. Awful to see how these animals live in very, very small cages.

Pretty great zoo, especially with no entrance fee. You get to see a great variety of animals - seals, snow monkeys, peacocks, deer, goose, swans, penguins, squirrels and more. Some exhibits have cages which make taking good photos hard. Overall pretty cool place to visit if you've got some spare time on your hands, especially if you have children.

Free admission! Run by Nagano city. Must place to have a great time with your kids if they are toddlers.
