At the time of the visit, the "Toji Treasure Exhibition" was held to commemorate the 55th anniversary of the opening of the Treasure Museum (September 20th to November 25th, 2020). The closing time was approaching, so it was a quick tour of about 30 minutes (sorry). I should have entered the museum a little earlier and enjoyed it slowly for an hour. Among the exhibits, the Twelve Devas folding screen (Kenkyu 2 (1191), national treasure) has strong and weak brush strokes and a transparent feeling (Is it a personal impression?) In addition to that, many scriptures such as the Daihanwakkei and Buddhist statues are exhibited, and I was impressed once again that the history and tradition of Toji Temple (Kyooh Gokokuji Temple) is amazing.

The three-dimensional mandala is a masterpiece. Although it is not limited to Toji, it is a waste to be able to see such a great work of art right in front of you.
