Lovely museum with lots of local photos, history, etc. Unfortunately the Japanese level is fairly difficult and there are no English guides.

可愛い建物でした。 開いているのかわからず入口で躊躇していると、女性が優しく声をかけてくださいました。 中に入ると他に誰もおらずとても静かでした。 パンフレット等いただき無料なのが申し訳ないです。 京都駅から歩ける距離ですので時間のある方、興味のある方にはお勧めです。

The former Yanagihara Bank in the Chongjin district was relocated and renovated. Valuable as a wooden bank building in the Meiji era. It's a pity that the Blu-ray player in the vault can't play

Yanagihara Bank is a bank established in the Dowa area by local volunteers. Then, due to the efforts of the local government and Kyoto City to preserve this building, it was relocated and restored, and it is preserved as the present Yanagihara Bank Memorial Museum. If you want to know the history of Chongjin area, please come here. You can learn deeply about the history of the district and the history of Buraku people affected. Remains of the leather industry are a remnant, and there are shops that sell leather products in the Sojin area. Also, the bad houses and fence-filled landscapes that can be seen in the area will soon disappear as the Kyoto City University of Arts is relocated, so if you are interested, please come early.
