It has good exhibitions from time to time. The staff here are always friendly and nice. English speaking and are always polite to inform about photo taking rules to each exhibition. This place is easily accessible from metro system.

TOCAG is not my usual gallery stop in Tokyo. But Araki is big on my list. Gallery was impressive with very high walls and ceiling. Lighting was equally good, bringing out the provocations of Araki’s life-size prints. There’s also an excellent bookshop within the building carrying Japanese photography books.

One of the best art exhibition venues in Tokyo.

This isn’t my favorite museum in Tokyo, But I sure am happy they were able to bring living legend and sneaker god to Tokyo. I was able to see the the second showing of his live performance of Tea Ceremony. Took traditional elements of Japanese Sado (茶道) and mixed with his own cut away style to create something new and special. Little known fact, YouTube legend Casey Neistat and his brother, Van, both worked for Tom back in the early 2,000’s. He can even be seen in their HBOspecial. The gift shop was filled with Tom Sachs merch and some originals. Easy to get to from the subway, it’s attached to the station!
