The Yamaga Municipal Museum is a base facility in the ancient Mori Yamaga district of Higo, about 3 km northwest of the Yamaga City Office. In 1978, this museum was the second museum to be opened in the prefecture, displaying very valuable materials such as the stone knives-shaped ironware and the Tomoe copperware, which are the only stone knives in Japan excavated from the National Historic Site of Hoboda Higashihara, and only 30 or more. .

Although it is a two-story building, the site is small, and only about half of the second floor is displayed on the burial mound. The other half is a corner for local culture, and there is no exhibition on the first floor. Compared with the Kumamoto Prefectural Kofunkan in the same Yamaga City, it looks very inferior in scale with the contents of the exhibition. I think that it is a facility to see the real Chibusan Obsan Tumulus on site.
