Nice 100 year old theater, with tours by English speaking guide.

Interesting and cheap visit to see behind the scenes of a traditional kabuki theatre. Not accessible if you're unstable on your feet though, there's lots of small steps and steep stairs.

One of the strong spots in Uchiko, the Kabuki theater is still in activity---and not limited to Kabuki plays, as events such as piano recitals also take place here. If you're lucky, you'll have an English-speaking guide explaining the inner mechanisms of the theater, and let you have fun with various Kabuki props.

Very atmospheric, tickets include an informative mini-tour, then you can wander on your own. The town is also worth wandering around in to see the old houses.
