A nice small bar. Unfortunately they don't have the Van Winkle whiskeys they're named after, but there's a good selection here of Japanese, American and scotch whiskey and the barman is helpful and speaks enough English to help with questions and recommendations.

The Sakae no Sumiyoshi district was once a gathering place of the big business leaders who ran the Showa economy in the evening. The Sumiyoshi Building, which still retains the atmosphere of the time, is located next to the building of the famous "Natsume" club in Nagoya. There is an authentic BAR "RIP VAN WINKLE" on this 1st floor. The chic and calm BAR where gentlemen who love skiing gather together has a full-fledged solidness. BAR is also selling a selection of fresh fruits. I decided to order Airau skis by ordering a large size Kantakan "Tamatama" and raw chocolate. From vintage scotch and aira to Japanese vintage, this time I got Fuji Gotemba 10 years when I opened it by mistake. It is also a very nice attraction that the gentle manager teaches you skiing with a soft speaking tone. From April, the store manager will move to a nearby Italian restaurant, and this store will be taken over by a female bartender. The female bartender is also kind and has a nice hard work. When I drank in Sumiyoshi, I was looking forward to drinking slowly here. The only one toilet is the shared toilet in the building.

It is a very small bar, but it is very cozy. It's very old and the distance from the bartender is also exquisite. Seasonal fruit cocktails are popular with women. Of course, you can't miss the standard liqueur lineup. I will make it a hideout. I am happy that there is a cigar.

It is in such a place that it can not be reached very much alone. Enter friends with introductions. Although it is very narrow, there is satisfaction in everything, the attentiveness of the master, the atmosphere inside the store, and so on. There are plentiful kinds of whiskey and I think I will ask cocktails next time. It seems that regulars are also attached, and although it is not gaudy, it seems to be one of the very good bars. It is my personal feeling to the last.
