Oyama City Kurumaya Museum of Art

そろそろ間々田宿中心部が近いのかなと思っていたら、何やら重厚な建物が目に入った。ここは「小山市立車屋美術館」です。国の登録有形文化財として登録された小川家住宅が整備されてできた美術館です。 明治 から残る小川家住宅は米蔵、肥料蔵、主屋、土蔵、表門の棟からなり、近代和風建築として価値の高いものとして平成19年8月に国の登録有形 文化財に登録されました。残念なことに休館日でした。乙女河岸で肥料問屋を営んでいた車屋（小川家）が、財をなし大正元年にこの地に移転したものであった。
