My favorite place in Nagoya
This building was once the residence of Kozaburo Furukawa, who was introduced to the world's oldest millionaire and an American magazine, and died at the age of 103. It is now open to the public as the Kozaburo Memorial Hall.
It is a Sukiya-style building built in 1934 and has a maze-like structure using undulating terrain. The basis of the building is Sukiya architecture, but Western elements are skillfully incorporated into it. It seems that the person who built this, Kozaburo Furukawa, was a very hobbyist.
The Furukawa Zaibatsu, founded by Mr. Furukawa, unfortunately failed to develop a resort when the bubble burst and went bankrupt. The chaebol disappeared and disappeared, but this memorial hall remained. I feel that the phrase "tigers die and leave skin" has come true. I hope that you will continue to pass on Mr. Kozaburo's achievements and elegance to posterity for many years to come.
I received an invitation ticket, so I went to the Furukawa Art Museum as a set. You can forget about the hustle and bustle of Nagoya by seeing the quiet Japanese garden, but when asked "Do you want to go again" or "Do you want to take people with you?", It was a good place.
There is a main building and an annex. The main building along with the main building is a slightly newer modern building, where you can enjoy various events and videos of the collection. The annex, which is a little far away, has an old Japanese-style architecture, and it seems that you can choose Japanese sweets and matcha and matcha tea bowls in some of the rooms with a relatively wide range of tea, and you can get it from 600 or 700 yen. You can look at the garden view from the window, learn about the beauty of lighting equipment, furniture, vase of fresh flowers and how to decorate flowers. It is good for those who can come up with the tea inside because it is possible to touch the interesting beauty such as making the ceiling, beautiful flooring in the corridor, and the beauty of old window glass, but the air conditioning is also nice and good. , When there are many mosquitoes in the garden at this time of the year (summer to early fall), there are enough mosquitoes to kill three in one stroke. Especially when the end of the day is tilted. Therefore, there is a pharmacy near Ikeshita Station nearby, but we recommend that you use enough spray such as insect repellent.
When I went, I went by subway from Ikeshita, but if you enter the subway just past the Chikusa police station east, you can reach the annex. The main building heads north from there. It's right around the corner.
I went to the Furukawa Museum of Art. It was an old Japanese building with a good atmosphere.
It was Sunday, so there were many guests.
If you use the coffee room on weekdays, you can enjoy the quiet atmosphere.
Also, the HP says that the affiliated parking lot is free for 2 hours, but I was given only half the parking ticket.
I noticed it when paying for the parking machine, but it is difficult to go back up the slope again, and I think that it is a style that pays the parking fee only for the time of staying in the museum without considering the time to walk from the parking lot I stopped returning to my thoughts.
It seems that you can actually receive the full amount if you check by phone later.
