Jōen-ji Cemetery

There is also a cemetery in the southern side of Changsu-ji's northern side across the road. It is a quiet space surrounded by skyscrapers, just a little away from the bustle and the bustle of Shinjuku. Various trees including plums were found among the tombstones from the Edo period, and when we are visiting, we are caught in the illusion that we are in the interval between the present day and the medieval period.
