Exit the park exit of JR Ueno Station and take the road between the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum and Ueno Zoo to the Masaki Memorial Hall. (Photo) A cat called out on the way. I am actively complaining about something. I'm probably hungry, but unfortunately I didn't have anything to feed. (Photo) Masaki Memorial Hall (photo) There is a courtyard and there is something like a restaurant. Tokyo University of the Arts is still more liberal than it is. Mr. Masaki was built to commemorate the many years of service of Naohiko Masaki, the fifth principal of the Tokyo Academy of Fine Arts (the principal has been in office for 32 years, the director of the Imperial Academy of Fine Arts, the examiners of each exposition, etc.). It was made of reinforced concrete in the early modern Japanese style, and a display case was placed on the first floor inside. On the second floor, a Japanese-style room built by Shoin-zukuri was set up at the request of Principal Masaki to donate works from business people at the time and to be in charge of art school instructors. The Japanese-style exhibition room is extremely rare today and is the only one in Tokyo. The exhibition room on the 1st floor is open to the public on an irregular basis as a space for displaying works by Hirakushi Tanaka and others. (From the University Art Museum HP) Try to go inside Take off your shoes and go to the Japanese-style exhibition room on the 2nd floor Oops From the beginning, I betrayed my expectations and was overwhelmed. It's kind of scary to shed light on the brain-shaped metal crafts in the dark. (Photo) An eerie statue in the next room (photo) Leave the haunted house and head to the museum venue. (Photo)

[Tokyo's selected historic building]... A display hall built to commemorate the achievements of Naohiko Masaki, the 5th principal of Tokyo Art School. It features an imperial crown style with a castle-like roof mounted on the RC structure that was popular in the early Showa era.
