To hold the azalea festival during the GW consecutive holidays, the entire Maebashi Shikishima water purification plant will be open to the public.
As of May 2017, the water supply museum on the southern side, built in 1968, cannot be entered inside due to seismic reinforcement.

Dozens of azaleas are planted in this colorful space.
Be careful not to touch or step on the roots of the azalea to protect the landscape.
Just because the place is a place, it is a pet-friendly facility.
It is open to the public on May 3-5 every year, and you can enjoy azaleas. Part of the facility can be visited.
I visited on the 3rd day of the first day this year, but it was very disappointing because it was past the best time to see it.
Perhaps because of that, the surrounding roads and facilities were not very crowded. The child seemed to enjoy having a stamp rally with balloons and buying something at the store.
As of July 2018, the water tower and water supply museum are closed due to seismic retrofitting, so the water supply museum is closed until the seismic retrofitting is completed.
