This place was a great place !! Moth First of all, it is a place where Buddha and God live together and respect (like Zenko-ji Temple in Nagano) !! Moth Dewa Sanzan three-dimensional mandala ・ ・ ・ In the hall, a Buddha statue is enshrined along the actual Dewa Sanzan visiting road !! Moth When visiting Dewa Sanzan, I think it is better to visit first! Moth Please be sure to contact us before visiting! Moth

Visited on May 2nd in GW. Because there are few parking lots, if there is a full car, the district center located next to it is recommended. The toilet looks old-fashioned but the interior is beautiful so you can rest assured

Located on Mt. Haguro in the Dewa Sanzan area, Shozen-in is in a strict atmosphere, and it is a place where you can easily drop in, and you can also get a red stamp 印 ️😀👃🙇‍♂️.

It is an old temple located in the shukubo district, about 15 minutes on foot from the Zuijinmon gate of Mt. Haguro. Only the magnificent Golden Hall, which is an important cultural property of the country, can extend the scale of the former large temple, but the precincts are well maintained and the temples are kind. If you come to Mt. Haguro, don't miss this place either. This temple is said to be the head temple of the Haguroyama Shugendo sect, but its history is a little complicated. From ancient times, both Shozen-in Temple, which is located at the entrance of Mt. Haguro, and Arasawa-ji Temple, which is said to be the inner temple of Mt. Haguro, prospered. However, the temples of Arasawa-ji have declined due to the Meiji decree to separate Shinto and Buddhism, and Shozen-in, which is only a temple that formally belongs to Arasawa-ji, is in a state of managing Arasawa-ji. Arasawaji Temple still exists near the Tsukiyama Visitor Center, but it is well maintained but uninhabited. Therefore, it is Shozenin that holds the signboard of Haguroyama Shugendo Honzan, but the official Honzan is Arasawaji. As for Shozenin, the main body of the temple, Shozenin, and Kogane-do, which accepts tourists and is also the name of the bus stop, are separated by a road and have different addresses. There is a feeling of what it is, but this complexity is the very history of Dewasanzan since the Meiji era. Other temples related to Dewasanzan, Dainichibo and Churenji, still exist, but when you visit each of them, it is interesting to see a glimpse of the history that is not explicitly told from the shrine side. It happened that I worshiped on the day of the opening of the book, but it seems that the Golden Hall is usually closed. There seems to be no cultural property in the Buddha statue of the Golden Hall, but it is worth seeing. If you are looking at tourist information, it says that you need to make a reservation to see it, so if you want to see it surely, please contact the temple.
