It's a nice enough museum. I didn't know anything about Soseki-san, so I learned some stuff. The architecture of the building is nice, but I really liked the recreation of Soseki-Sanbo. You get a little discount ticket for the cafe with your admission ticket but so many things from the menu are excluded. The ice cream was good, a bit like custard. And the strawberry jam was nice.

This place is so amazing for all Natsume Soseki fans... I loved the design and the black cats everywhere, it's so nostalgic place... the staff are so nice and great... they saw we had stamped on our notebooks (the stamps looked so cute) so they told us that there is an event where we can get a gift related to the manga about Natsume Soseki works. There is also a cafe inside, the coffee is really good and the cake is tasty... The fee to visit the gallery is not expensive, it's only 300 yen. You can get a lot of memorial stuff for a good price.

*May-20: Museum, Peace, Calm down, Literature. >Strength: You may read Soseki's whole life. Atmosphere is pretty and peaceful. >Weakness: You can not read the dark side of Soseki especially his life in UK, anguish of financial hardness due to step parents, how he skipped his military duty and so on. >Opportunity: You would read more Soseki's book after visit this museum. You can learn why Soseki is the great opener of Japanese 20 century's literature. >Threat: You may wonder whether his reputation is exaggerated or not if you know Soseki's dark side.

A modern building holds some of Soseki’s personal belongings, as his library. Part of his former house, at the same, place was reproduced here and we can feel how Soseki worked and received his fellows to discuss Literature. The cat figure is present everywhere.

Good to visit if you like Soseki. English-friendly staffs. There is also cafeteria in 1st floor, where you can try Monaka (Japanese sweet with sweet red bean paste) from ‘Kuya’ in Ginza. It is known Soseki liked it.
