Maruyama Park's Hyotan Pond might not be as picturesque as other temple or shrine ponds in Kyoto City but it sure does add to the beauty of Maruyama Park as a whole. If you get the right angle and right lighting you might be shocked to find that this pond has a deeper beauty in to it.

Nice place to recover from tiredness. Winds flow and sun hides. The surface of this lake is almost still but still lives many mayflies.
