A great range of craft beers as well as an impressive whiskey selection. All topped off with good food and service.
Good selection of beers and whiskey. The fish and chips were delicious. Cory friendly staff.
Situated in a renovated 1934 classic Japanese house (machiya style?) The interior is as much a treat as the beers and food. The pillars and frames of the house are bare and visible in this two story hangout.
There was another seating and friendly staff that could speak English. The beer selection seemed good.
Having a quieter upstairs dining area was nice. The livelier downstairs bar area became a warm backdrop to a relaxing dinner. You *can* have it both ways.
I had the risotto and venison meat balls. Both excellent.
one of the WORST customer service ive ever had. sure, it looks nice from outside, but again remember "don't judge a book by its cover". if you wanna try just beer, ill recommend you to go "Kyoto Beer Lab", which is just around the corner.
trust me, i know what im talking about. i was born and raised in Tokyo, been here and there, but living in Kyoto for last few years.
Just walking by and I saw this restaurant and decided to give it a try. This was a great decision. Enjoyable staff and the food was delicious. Also they have a large beer and whiskey selection. Definitely stop by if you are in the area. The staff does speak English.
