Visiting in the winter of January, the trees are relatively lifeless, and it is also a special scenery. I hope the cherry blossom season has a chance to look. Facilities and environment are well maintained.

A really nice town; especially if you want to get away from other western people. The castle is amazing to see even though most of it is ruin from the 2016 earthquake.

Nice park in the city. There are plenty of photo opportunities. You can drink from the fountain of longevity near the Izumi shrine. The water is coming from Mt. Aso. There are some places to eat in the park. You can enjoy a tea experience while looking at the park. It cost 400 yen for adults to enter. There is a parking lot that cost 500 yen by the North Entrance. A kei car cost 500 yen for parking and there is no time limit.
